Die hübsche Maya genießt ihr Leben in einer japanischen Stadt: Sie geht auf Partys, ins Kino und hat wilden Sex mit einem ihr unbekannten, attraktiven Motorradfahrer. Als dieser sie fragt, ob sie sich wiedersehen werden, lächelt Maya geheimnisvoll und antwortet: "Wahrscheinlich nie wieder." Am nächsten Morgen lässt sie sich als Novizin in ein Heiliges Herz genanntes Kloster aufnehmen. Aber nicht etwa aus religiösen Motiven - sie will vielmehr den mysteriösen Tod ihrer Mutter aufklären, die im selben Kloster ebenfalls Nonne war.
Bald muss sie mit Entsetzen feststellen, dass der Orden weniger eine Religionsgemeinschaft ist als ein Hort der Sünde. Unter der Leitung der sadistischen Äbtissin müssen die Nonnen Züchtigungen über sich ergehen lassen.
